the west at 4 A. M. tacked Ship off Shore
at 11 Do. tacked in at 1 P. M run in under the
North Head and took in Pilot and proceded up
the Bay at 2 P. M. came too in 7 fathom water off
the Town in bearing South 1/2 mile Dist.
So ends
Monday Jan 20th 1840
All of these 24 Hours light airs from the North
and fair weather hands employed in sending down
Top gallant masts & yards.
So ends.
Tuesday Jan 21th, 1840
All of these 24 hours light airs from the South
and Cloudy nothing doing but Pumping Ship
So ends.
Wednesday Jan. 22th, 1840.
All of these 24 Hours light airs from the North with
light Rain. at 10 A. M. got underweigh and run
into Mossmons Cove and Rigged a stage from
the Ship to the wharf when we discharge the
Ship and heave her down for repairs

Thursday Jan 23, 1840.
All of these 24 Hours light airs from the South
with light Rain Hands employed in clearing the
the Decks for Breaking out.

Friday, Jan. 24th, 1840

Rain have done nothing this Day.

commenced breaking out our Oil.
