First part light airs from the west and squally
with light Rain middle Hours the wind hauled
to the South from that to East steered west
Latter Hours fresh gales and cloudy.

So ends.

Latitude Obs. 37" 34. South. Longitude by acc. 178" 40 East.

Friday June 12th, 1840.

First & Middle part strong gales from the W. S. W. and
Squally with showers of Rain at 1 A. M. took in Sail
and hauled too by the wind to the north.

Latter Hours more moderate.

So ends.

Latitude Obs. 35" 58. South. Longitude per watch 177" 33 west.

Saturday, June 13th, 1840.

First part strong breezes from the west steering by the
wind to the North middle & Latter Hours the wind
veered to the SE. Steered W. by S. untill 11 P. M. and
then off west. So ends.

Latitude Obs. 35" 30. South. Longitude per watch 176" 17 East.

Sunday June 14th, 1840.

First part Strong breezes from the SE. and Squally
with Rain at 2 A. M. made made the poor Knights
bearing SW. by S. 10 miles Dist. at 3 Do. Steered off W by S
at Daylight made Cape Bren bearing W. S. W 6 miles
Dist at 2 P. M. passed the South Head.

Middle & Latter Hours clear at 5 Do. came too
off Kararica in 8 Fathom water.

Monday June 15th, 1840.

All of these 24 Hours light airs from the NE.
and Squally with Rain.

So ends.

Tuesday June 16th, 1840.

All of these 24 Hours cloudy with light Rain

So ends
