Brown bacon cut into dice.
Add to boiling water. Add
clam broth, vegetables and
tomatoes. Cook until vegetables
are tender. Season, add chopped
clams, simmer 1 minute.

Dressing for Fowl

2 C bread crumbs
1 egg, beaten with fork
1 apple, chopped fine
1 onion, chopped fine
1 T salt
¼ t pepper
1 t. thyme
½ t sage
5 TB fat. Crisco, butter. melted bacon
fat is delicious

Mix all above together well.
