Reception Cocoa (12 cups)

½ C cocoa
½ C sugar
¼ C flour
⅛ t salt
1 qt water
1 qt milk
½ t vanilla

Cook first 5 ingredients 15 min. Add milk. Cook over hot water until hot. Add vanilla. Beat well. Serve with or without whipped cream and a sprinkle of grated choc.

Cup Cakes

6 TB shortening
1 C sugar
3 eggs
3 C flour
6 t B. P.
½ t salt
1 C milk
Flavoring ½ T vanilla or grated rind of ½ lemon plus 1 t lemon juice

Cream together sugar and shortening. Add well beaten
