Potatoes Anna
9c. sliced raw potatoes, 1/8" thick | ¾ c. soft butter |
3 t. salt | |
2 Tb. sifted, dry bread crumbs | ½ t. pepper |
Let potatoes stand in cold water
15 min. Dry on towel. Butter a 2 qt
casserole, sprinkle with crumbs. Arrange
a layer of potatoes on bottom of casserole
so that slices overlap. Dot with some
of the butter and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Repeat until ingredients are used,
making about 5 layers in all. Cover and
bake in 350° over for 1 hour + 10 min or
until tender. Uncover & invert carefully
on plate. The potatoes will retain their shape.
