Chocolate Icing

1 beaten egg
1 c. sugar
2 sq. melted choc.
2 Tbs butter
3 Tbs milk
½ t. vanilla

Mix all but vanilla. Boil cool & add vanilla. Beat until creamy.

Scalloped Ham with Potatoes & Carrots

½ lb ham, cut in pieces
Pepper
1 qt sliced raw potatoes
2 cups milk.
Arrange potatoes, ham & carrots
in layers in large kettle, sprinkling
each layer with pepper. Add milk &
cook. Covered over a low fire until
potatoes are tender. More milk may be
added if necessary.
