Cranberry Sherbert


4 c. cranberries 1t. plain gelatin
2½ c. water ¼ c. cold water
1¼ c. gran sugar 1 Tb lemon juice
low flame 7 min. Press thru fine sieve
add sugar, bring to a boil. Soak
gelatin in ¼ c. water 5 min, stir into
hot syrup. Cool. add lemon juice.
Pour into freezing tray. Freeze until firm
Beat in chilled bowl with beater
until fluffy. Return to tray. Freeze fork. Serves 6-8

Lettuce & Chili Roquefort Salad Bowl


2 heads Iceberg lettuce ½ t. paprika
¼ LB [Roquefort 4 Tb chili sauce
1 clove garlic 1 Tb lemon juice
1/2 t. salt ½ c. salad oil

Break chilled lettuce in fairly large
pieces. Crumble cheese & sprinkle over.
Rub inside of glass jar with cut
side of garlic. Into jar put salt
