Old English Hot Spiced Cider

½ t. whole allspice	1 qt. cider
2" stick cinnamon	⅓ c. brown sugar
6 whole cloves	grated nutmeg

Tie 1" [size of bag] spices in a cheese
cloth bag. Heat cider and brown sugar
together add spices and simmer for 10 min. or until
spicy enough for taste. Serve piping
hot in mugs with a dash of nutmeg.
Serves 4.
