Judy Choc. Icing (like fudge)
1 c. sifted conf. sugar | ½ t. vanilla |
1 egg and 2 egg yolks, unbeaten | 4 sq. unsweetened choc. melted |
¼ c. milk | 1 tb. melted butter |
Combine ingredients in order given
Then beat with rotary egg beater or
Elec. beater at medium speed until
stiff enough to spread. [about 5 min)
2 - 9" Delicious with chopped nuts
sprinkled on sides of cake.
White Fudge Icing
3 Tb. crisco | 4 c. sifted conf. sugar |
1 Tb. butter | 1 t. vanilla |
5 Tb. top milk, scalded | ¼ t. salt. |
Melt crisco and butter in scalded
milk. Pour over sugar and beat until
sugar is dissolved. Then add vanilla
and salt and heat again until smooth and
stiff. Frosts 8x8x2 or 2 - 9"
