Chocolate Fluff Icing
4 Tb. butter | 3 q. [sq.] unsweetened chocolate melted |
1½ c. sifted conf. sugar | ¼ t. salt |
1 t. vanilla | 2 eggs whites |
Cream butter, add ½ sugar and
blend well. Add vanilla, melted choc and
salt. Beat egg whites until stiff but not
dry. Then beat in remaining sugar 2 Tb
at a time. Beat until mixture peaks, then
fold into choc mixture gently but
thoroly.
Choc. Cocout Icing (quick and good)
2 Tb. crisco | 5 Tb. hot milk |
1 Tb. butter | 2 c. sifted conf. sugar |
3 q. [sq.] unsweet choc | ¼ t. salt |
½ c. coconut | ½ t. vanilla |
Melt veg shortning, butter and choc tog.
over boiling water. Pour hot milk over
conbined sugar and salt, and stir until
sugar is dissolved. Add vanilla and choc
mixture. Beat until smooth and thick
enough to spread. Sprinkle coconut on top.
