½ C. American cheese cut in small pieces	½ t. salt
3 Tb. butter	1 Tb. minced onion
3 eggs slightly beaten	2 C. milk

Cut crusts from several slices of
bread; spread with deviled ham
cut into cubes and measure 2 C. alter-
nate cubes with cheese in a greased
1½ qt casserole with bread as a top
layer. Top with butter. Combine rest
of ingredients and pour over bread mixture.
Place in pan of hot water and bake
