Cook bacon until crisp, then
dice. Add bacon to peas and 1 Tb of
bacon fat, salt, pepper, white sauce
and onion. turn into greased 1½ qt
casserole, top with crumbs, mixed
into melted butter. Bake in 450°
oven 30 min. Serves 6.

Raspberry Pie


¾ C. gran. sugar ½ t. vanilla extract
1½ C. raspberries 1 C. cream, whipped
1 pkg. raspberry gelatine dessert 1 9" baked pie shell

Combine ¾ C. sugar and raspberries
to 1 C. of these berries add enough
hot water to make 1 pt. Bring to the
boiling point, then add gelatin
dessert and stir until dissolved. Cool
until beginning to set. Then stir
in remaining 1½ C. berries, vanilla
and ½ C. whipped cream to which 1 Tb.
sugar has been added. Fill pie and
chill then top with remaining cream
