Hotel [Slatler?] Rum Chiffon Pie
2 egg yolks | ¼ C. cold water |
---|---|
3 oz. gran. sugar | 3 egg whites |
3 t. rum | 2 oz. gran sugar (additional) |
2 t. gran. gelatine |
rum. Make a soft custard and cool.
Soak gelatine and beat until dissolved
Beat egg whites and fold in sugar.
When they begin to hold shape, pour
gelatine in very slowly. When light
and fluffy, fold in rum custard and
pour in baked pie shell.

½ C. scalded milk | ⅓ C. softened butter |

1 cake compressed yeast |
¼ t. salt | 2 egg yolks |
---|---|
2 C. and 6 Tb. sifted flour | ½ t. lemon ext. [extract] |
crumbled yeast, stir until dissolved
Beat in sugar, salt and 1C. of flour
