Chocolate Crumb Pudding


¼ C. butter 2 eggs, beaten
¾ C brown sugar, firmly packed 2 C. soft bread cubes or crumbs
2 C. scalded milk 1 t. vanilla
2 C. cold milk ½ 7 oz pkge semisweet choc.
Melt butter in skillet, add
sugar, heat, stiirring until melted
Add to scalded mik, stir till dis-
solved. Add cold milk, then
slowly add to eggs. Add crumbs, vanilla
and choc. cut thru [sc.ings] Pour into
1½ qt casserole, set in pan of warm
water and bake in 350° oven 1½ hrs
or until knife comes out clean.
Serve warm, with or without
cream.
