Pursuant to notices mailed to all directors of
the Pacific Grove Retreat Association ten days previous.

A special meeting of the Board of Directors of
this Corporation was held in the Ladies Parlors of the
M.E. Church, Pacific Grove, there were present
Directors, E.C. [Sfurtbert], president. Rev. E.B. [Winning]
Vice President, E.B. De Forest, F. [Grantham], M.
Draper and W. Burchett. (Secty)

Absent W.J. Peters, O.S. Olmsted, J.H.N. Williams
and Frank K. [Bared].

After prayer by the Rev E.B. [Winning] the
minutes of the last meeting, were read and approved
as read.

Communications from Dr. Arthur Briggs
and attorney Ben Geis were read and discussed
with reference to plans of Operation against
the issuance of license for the sale of Beer
in Pacific Grove.

A verbal report was given by the Rev. E.B.
[Winning] with regard to an interview with
Attorneys Campbell, and Mack.

There being no other business the meeting
adjourned to meet at the call of the President
