Phillip C. Tetrick Dies;
Public School Principal

Phillip C. Tetrick, 40 years
old, 2285 Wynnedale Road,
principal on leave of absence
of Riverside Public School 44,
died yesterday
in Methodist
Hospital.

A native of
Muncie, he had
lived in Greensburg
most of this
life until moving
to Whitestown
in 1960. He had
resided in Indianapolis
since 1965.

MR. TETRICK began teaching
at Riverside School, 2033
Sugar Grove Avenue, in 1950
and was named vice-principal
in 1960. He became principal
in 1964 and took a leave of
absence this fall after becoming
ill last February.

A graduate of Hanover College
in 1949, he received his
master's degree from Butler
University in 1951. He was a
member of Whitestown Methodist
Church, Indianapolis Educational
Association, Indiana
State Teachers Association,
National Educational Assoication
and the state and national
Principals' associations. He
was a member of Sigma Chi
Fraternity.

FUNERAL services will be
held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in
the Flanner and Buchanan Fall
Creek Mortuary. Graveside
rites will be held in Oak Hill
Cemetery at Lebanon at 4:30
p.m.

Survivors include the widow,
Mrs. Anita R. Tetrick, assistant
director of nursing at
the Indiana University Medical
Center; stepmother Mrs. Meta
Tetrick of Indianapolis, and
two sisters, Mrs. Harold Ruddell
of Indianapolis and Mrs.
James Martin of Greensburg.

Friends may call at the
mortuary after 7 p.m. today.

Martin, step-son of Mrs. Meta Tetrick,
passed away Sunday. Funeral
Wednesday afternoon 3 o'clock FLANNER
AND BUCHANAN FALL
CREEK MORTUARY. Friends may
call after 7 p.m. Monday.
