Yesterday I baked a cake, which was fine,
because I used a "never-fail" mix, but
the frosting recipe must have been a mis-
print, also I had the wrong kind of sugar.
The top of the cake has the texture & durability
of a cement driveway, but it doesn't
taste bad, if you like crunchy frosting.

She gets fruit in her cereal now, & last
night I tried prunes, & then we went over
to the Hunts. While we were there, the
prunes made their second entrance into
this world, & when I had rinsed out the
diaper & wrung it, the daschund Fritz took
that diaper for her own. First she put it
on her bed & sat on it, & when I threatened
to repossess it, she removed it to the
living room. Mike finally talked her out of
it. Her interest in diapers is an entirely
different kind than Jeff's. She really
would have rather had the baby, but we didn't
let her get close enough to find out what
for. This morning She had bananas & oatmeal
& loved it. We won't try prunes
again until tomorrow. We use that spoon
that Rosemary Gossman gave her. It's
really nice. By the way, I'm way behind
