'Garden in Salome'. Salome was a one act opera by Richard Strauss. Mary Garden (1874-1967) was a Scottish operatic soprano who sang the role of Salome in Chicago.
In second line of entry for 25th Nov, the initials look more like the letter J. The down stroke goes below the line, whereas in the line above, the capital I in 'in' remains above the line.

Is it likely "J.K.J" is in fact J.Ll.J as in Jenkin Lloyd Jones. Miles has mentioned Jenkin Lloyd Jones on Wednesday the 23rd Nov 1910.
Yes, I think you have hit the nail on the head. J L Jones also features in the diary entry for 12 Dec 1909 where there is a note with more information about him.
