Friday, Aug. 14, 1914
Overslept delightfully got down very late. Pottered thru the day as usual got some things done. Very depressed about war. Dinner at Hearth alone & walked home & went to bed at 10.15.
Did over old pink toque.
Saturday 15
Got down at 9.10. Came home at 2.30. I rang Fred up & asked him to take Miss Henry to the picnic which Ethel & Miss Boynton had arranged at Ravinia. I met P. Greenwald on the way home. I went to bed & stayed there. Had some bread & jam for dinner. Cool
Sunday 16
Stayed in bed practically all day only got out to get something to eat. Read "The Winning of Barbara Worth" & the Bible. Not feeling so bad. Showery day warmer towards evening.
