APRIL - MAY 1944

30 Sun-3rd after Easter
First Quarter 6.6 a.m.
Lovely day. Went
to Sunday School in morning and taught
Primary. Went to S. School again in afternoon.
Afterwards wrote to Betty. Had tea on
the lawn. Went to chapel in evening.

1 May Mon-SS. Philip and James
Bank Holiday in Scotland
Gorgeous
day. Helped, Mummie in morning. She
washed. Got changed after dinner
and did some revision. Drove tractor
for Daddy in evening. Had my hair
washed.

2 Tues
Very strong gale blowing
all day. Helped Mummy in
morning and did some mending.
Got changed in afternoon and went
with Mummy to be Home Nurse. Bathed
Read in evening.

3 Wed
Started school again.
We have got a new gym Mistress called
Mrs Watkins. Had fairly nice
lessons at school all day but
had a lot a hard homework
with luck [not] all the evening.
