27 Thur
Very showery day. I cycled to school
in morning. Messed about all the morning went to
see Miss Telly about my future, had dinner then came
home. Edna came to stay the night. Leslie came
in afternoon. He came again in evening and brought
Snowy (aMaoris F/O) with him. Bill & Leslie White
also came.

28 Fri - First Quarter, 9.23 a.m.
Quite a nice day.
Broke up from school for summer holidays.
Edna went home in afternoon. Cycled to Ely with
Bill in evening and we went to see "Madame Lune"
it was very very good. Didn't go to bed until late.

29 Sat - s.r. 4.18, s.s. 7.54
Poured with rain all
morning. Had breakfast in bed and then got
up and polished floor. Bill came and spent his
day off with us. Had a bath in afternoon & had my
hair washed and cut in evening. Betty came
for supper and Leslie popped in.

Make a further sowing of Spinach Beet. Continue to
remove side shoots from Tomatos ; remove top of main
stem from plants growing out-of-doors when four trusses
of fruit are set. A Strawberry bed cleared of worn-out
plants provides an excellent site for planting Savoys
for late supplies. Endeavour to fill all spare ground with
Winter Greens.

Cold Districts. - Sow Cabbages for spring cutting and
Onions for salad purposes.
