SEPTEMBER 1944

10 Sun - 14th after Trinity
Lovely day. Went to
Sunday school in morning and taught
primary. Janet & Alma now take little class
Wrote to Colin and read in afternoon. Cycled to
Haddenham with Mummy in evening to hear Daddy
preach. Leslie finished his ops.

11 Mon
Lovely day. Helped Mummy with
the washing in morning and cleaned
my bike. Cycled to Betty's in afternoon
had a nice time there. Betty cycled home
with me. Had my hair washed. Bill came
in.

12 Tues
Heard school cert results. Got H.G
2 passes 2 fails. Helped Mummy in morning and
hemmed up my new rain coat. Lovely afternoon.
Took Kim for a long walk. Embroidered on
Jumper in evening. Gerald & Denys came to
supper. Denys mowed the lawn.

We have got 8 new mistresses
13 Wed
Started school again. I am
now in the VIth form with Miss
Saunders as form mistress. Didn't have
any proper lessons all day. Went to bible
class in evening. Bill Gerald Denys
and Leslie and Betty came.
