Thursday the 11th Septr 1856 Pulled fodder with
8 hands all day

Friday the 12th Septr 1856 rained this morning
& wet our fodder but cleared off & we cut corn
until noon it then Rained verry hard until
night wet all the fodder we have down &
Spoiled nearly We have about 1000 Bundles
down The army worm has Eat all the
Grass in the Oats Stubble East of the Meadow
and we turned our Cows in the meadows to
eat the Grass before the worms did.

I bought Two yearlings from Dr Wisemans
to day calves of a heifer I bought at [Hertmans?]
Sale in 1851 & have not had her [?] yet
The Two is worth $10- or $12- & I only give $4.50
for the heifer at the sale She is yet at
Wisemans and has another Bull calf
Wiseman is to keep her for her milk until she
has a heifer calf & then I am to give him
the calf & take the cow with all the Bull
calves she hashad home (She has had
3 Bull calves & no heifer yet

Saturday the 13th Septr 1856 Cut corn all day

Tuesday the 16th Septr 1856 pulled fodder & cut Tops

Wednesday the 17th Sept 1856 run 3 plows
Breaking fallow until noon Then all
hands cut Tops & pulled fodder

Thursday 18 Sept 1856 finished breaking our wheat
Land

Friday the 19 Sept 1856 finished pulley foder
& cutting our corn we pulled about 2500
Bundles fodder & cut about 25 Acres of corn
stalks
