Voucher 11. Nelson & Doble - Horse Shoeing - $33-
This bill is for shoeing & reshoeing
the horses used by J. Ross Browne and
G. Bailey in visiting the Reservations.

Voucher 14. C.B. Ellis - Killing Cattle - $20-
On the 18th January 1857 - three
hundred & twenty five head of cattle were
purchased from J. W. McCorckle at
Point Reyes - After removing all that
could be driven away, a considerable
number still remained that were too
wild to drive, and it was deemed
best to kill them in their own ranges,
and dry the meat for consumption. This
expenditure was made for that purpose.

Voucher 16. E.B. Clement - Horses, & Services - $100~
The trip made by Messrs Browne
and Bailey was over a very rough and wild
country - A guide was indispensable, as
well as a man to take care of the horses
at night, and do the cooking for the
party. Mr Clement performed his duty
