1½ c sugar ½ c butter 2 eggs 1 c water
2 tsp burnt sugar 2½ c flour 2 tsp\baking powder 1 tsp vanilla
1st cream the butter 2. Add sugar
+ cream again 3 Add the yolks of
eggs + cream 4 Combine two mixture
5 Add burnt sugar + vanilla
continue creaming 6. Add flour + milk
alternately beating thoroughly 7 Add
½ c flour mixed with the baking
powder 8 Add stiffly beaten white
+ bake 1 hr
Burnt Sugar Icing
1½ c sugar ½ c water 2 tsp burnt
sugar 2 egg whites cook sugar
