and the fellows hollared
for us to come along. We
didn't go, but wondered what
in the duce was up, and hurried
back to camp to find out. On
our way each fellow suggested
a reason for the hurried departure
of all the men. Some said
the Germans were coming,
others said that it was the
American's way of getting
away from an air rade.
When we got back we found
the Y.M.C.A. ladies all alone
and very excited. They
informed us that there was
a forest fire somewhere.
We talked about the wreck
for a while, and then I
turned in, and extremely tired.
