with the wind. He smashed
all to pieces. His belt broke,
and when the machine turned
over it threw him clear of it.
All he got was a broozed knee.

Wednesday July 3rd.
Flew, but nothing unusual
happened. C.V. Hanes took is
cross country today. His engine
came to pieces up in the
air. He fell 800 meters, and
then got control of the machine
and made a good landing.

Thursday July 4, '18.
No formations today. Had a
wonderful nights rest. Spent
from 9:30 until 11:30 with the
dentist. A good way to celebrate
