the Fourth. 24 "Averoes"
and two "Sop Pups" came
over form the English
school in formation and
performed for us. It was
the most wonderful air
exhibition that I ever set
eyes upon. Went down town
with Herb in the afternoon.
Went driving, and had dinner
down there. Got home about
12 P.M. Shortly after I got
home the guard on the hangers
saw two men smoking
out of one of the hangers. He
fired at them and chased them
into a grain field. They sourounded
the field but the fellows
got away. One of our monitors
was killed this afternoon.
