Mr Frank Sharpe
Law Dept. S.P. Co.
San Francisco.

My dear Sharpe,

Your letter of the 14th
May has been received.

I am sorry to hear
thar Curtis is in such a bad way,
and shall not forget the other matter
you mention in that connection.

In closing the Stillman
matter, you understand that while I
want my claim to be made perfectly
secure I do not wish to distress
Mrs. Stillman in the least. I supposed
that Judge Brown had attended to it
long before this as he told me he
would. I have an idea that a
judgement would be better for us than
a new mortgage as it could be enforced
at any moment. I believe the claim
is in judgement now. (over)
