Fully appreciating at its highest value a complete scientific and classic education, I am fully impressed with the idea that for our own people, who are to build up California in the future, and education should be made practical rather than theoretical. Therefore, I would suggest that the museum be industrial in character and as fully practical as possible in the lessons that it teaches.
