[preprinted] The Western Union Telegraph Company. PACIFIC DIVISION. [/preprinted]

Sacramento July 16th 1869.

To C. P. Huntington, V.P. Central Pacific Rail Road.

54 William Street, New York.

The Central Pacific RR. has not been overflowed. The California Pacific RR (commonly know here as the [Valley? Village?] RR) overflowed near Dainsville - But owing to cool weather the Sacramento river did not rise as high, by several feet, as usual at flood times.
