Dear Mama

Got your letter at 5.30 pm
and am answering it right away because
I have nothing to do for a few minutes.
You say Uncle Joe wrote me but I have
not recieved any letter from him yet.
If it does not show up in a few days
I will write him so. I got the tobacco all
right in the last package. I guess I forgot
to mention it. There is not much doing here
at present. And they have got me guessing
whether I am going to get away on the
first or not. We get paid to morrow but
I don't expected much as that last $15.00
was out of $17.00 I got for the first two week
of the second month, that means on
this two week pay they will take out the
allotment money. I don't suppose you
have recieved any of the allotments or you
would have written so.
