Friday 24 Jany. I understand Thomas took a company & went in command of a scouting party, not returned (see Mats letter to his wife.

Jany 31 Redc a letter from Wm dated the 26 Inst. informing me that Thomas is gone as the officer of the Scout

Feby 2 - a letter from Thomas to Fanna dated 27 Jany he returned home to Camp off Scout the 27 - being gone 4 days (all is well)

Feby 4th letter from Thomas dated Jany 31st. all well.

Feby 5 Wed. Fanna & Janie & her brother Wm. Webster came at night
