was well I heard that Capt Joseph Walker wrote a letter to his father dated 25 June in which he said Thomas was sick I am uneasy about it until I can hear more Walkers letter & Thomass letter are dated the same day I hunted others letters to learn & Mr Falls wrote 27 June & said nothing about Thomas being sick I hope for the better

July 3d Went to Jos Websters stayed all night at Maryanns came home the next day Fedrels celebrated 4th July

July 2d I got a letter from William dated 26 June he was well wrote in good sperits.

July 5th I wrote to Thomas a long letter

July 7 Got a letter from Thomas dated the 30 th June I think he is sick. J Walker wrote to his father he was sick & Wash Gordon wrote to James Aken saying Thomas was a little unwell. I have Telagraphed to Majr Pearson the Keeper of the prison to know how Thomas is now

July 7th I wrote to Thoas a letter the 5th & by Telagraph sent a dispatch to Majr Peerson the keeper of the prison of Johnsons Island Sandusky Ohio, to learn the health of Thomas the despatch was the 7th & the letter the 5th.

1862 July 9th [hand pointing] Recd a check upon the War department of U.S. at Loyisville for &67.50 dated July 5. 1862 No 259. Nashville, to Nimrod Porter or order, Sined J.B.Bigham

Wrote a long letter to William informing him of the news of Thomas sickness and other things generally.
