Martin care of Fraklin, Hotel Keeper dated 29th June
Mailed July [3?] 1862 I cannot from the Mail Mark tell its
whereabouts It was by a man of business written, the letter
was given to me by Mr Franklin it was not broken open before
I got it he sends his compliments to many others

1862 July 24 Mary wrote to Thomas
I wrote to Thomas
3rd Augt I wrote also to Thomas
Recd a letter from G W Gordon in answer to my letter to him
the 10th Inst his letter dated the 17th Inst saying Thomas
was nearly well (no news)

23 -- Recd a letter from William dated the 10 July

July 24 Recd a letter from Thomas dated the 15th Inst saying he was
well or nearly so. (No news)

The newspapers (Nashville dispatch) says that William
has been released upon Payrole & to go to near Richmond &
agree for a wounded prisoner to be released also if it is
agreed too The released was occasioned by W.K. Polk - -
