1863 came home the Pulasky turnpike & passing through my woulds lott I find the Southern Soldiers had burned up my fence from my corner next Rankins to My gated all our picketing not put up * a greate deal of it pulled up & burned the timer cut and verry ^{much} distroyed. I felt much distressed to see it ( it must be borne )

20 Thomas & Fanna left for Jas Websters Tuesday the 20 Jany Thomas came home & stayed all night Monday 26 Jan .

22 the Souldiers left my Woods lott on Thursday night Jany 22 but still continues halling wood to town Friday 23rd.

Jany 21 Richard Baxter Porter son of Elias Poerter of Savanna came here wounded through the neck said to be done the 24th Decr last at Savanna. The wound appears to be healing up he came here on Wednesday the 21st. Jany 1863 Baxter had got much better & left this morning for Oxford

1863 Feby 1st Sunday went to Thos J Crosby upon business for my son Thomas Went at night to Lewin Amis upon the same business

Feby 4 Wed the Federals 4 miles South of Franklin Many leaving Spring
