It is said Farnay & Trust are gone to Nashville to Join them. The Fedrels has taken much of H. B. Porters Stock & negroes.

Sun 25 The morning looks a little more favourable for god weather. There is no reliable news this morning as I have yet heard of, news the Fedrals are at Williamsport & taking horses & negroes &c

Mon 27. The morning is cloudy nothing verry particular astur, some reports the Fedrals Infantry are comeing to Columbia & have camped at Dr William Browns last night

1863 Tuesday the 28th July) The sun arose beautiful & clear tho it shone a little Weak. Another alarm reported the Fedrals are coming in to Town tho some are contradicting the report. No important news though the night Maj Lovney was again trying to git off to the South passed here yesterday packed up. -
We learned late in the evening that several Southern soldiers had come to Columbia & that the Federals were all gone. parson Mack got a load of Wood

Wed 19th The morning is Clear and much cooler the air appears more like dry weather. It clouded up the wind was verry high threatened to be a storm in the evening but did not rain . reports the Fedrals will be in Town tomorrow
