several days that has been taking so many horses left this morning for Pulaskie.
We have been doing but verry little this last week but our blacks are still with us All Granville A Pillows boys are all gon in a few days back except one & on Friday night it is supposed they shot at Pillow on Friday night last.

1863 Augt Mon 31. I went to Town late in the evening There were no particular news The Federals were upon the hunt of Furillas said to be 150 Negroes Went to the Fedral lines last night

Tu 1st Sept. Mr Scott that came Saturday night left this morning for Lawrence County. I stayed at home all day No particular news J B Pillow sent to Nashville

Wed 2. I went to Town A good deal of foraging & Garilla raids & news the Fedrels got several Southern Soldiers Cooper Smith & others to day Alfred Harrison stayed all night last night

Th 3. I went did not go any where to day Maryan & Thomas came late in the evening stayed all night Mary went to Town and got of the Commander of the post Col Boon a protection paper & went home

1863 Spet Fri 4th I went to town Many of the blacks leaving & going to the Fedrels No particular news. Continual raids & foriging
