Oct Sun 5.) See my dream of Tuesday last
I went to Town to day got Ciaro & Saul released leaving 6 others there I got the promise of the provost Marebal to release them all & send them home when the Fortification is finished I came home at night verry unwell & much fateagued & down spirited

Mon 6 I stayed at home all day a good deal unwell No particular news expecting a big fight soon at or near to Chatanuga If it has to be , God speed how soon, that it may prove the breaking up of the War some way or other. I as truly tyered of it. News verry contradictory

Tuesday 7. I stayed at home not well No particular news that can be relied upon (Verry unwell)
