1864 Tues 2-nd Feby) I stayed home all day It turned much cooler towards evening tryed to now but did not do much at it Cleared off at evening George came home yesterday having been gone to Col Pillow for some three of 4 Weeks The Small pox was thaught to be there & he was afraid to come home After being there it turned out to be the Chicken pox - (No particular news)

-Thomas Thos L. Porter came this evening-

Wed 3d I went to Town Saw Weakley W J Porter sick at Nashville ( Flux ) he is trying to get the ballence of there Cotton off from Columbia Greate many Small pox cases around the Town & it is increasing at Nashville & else where

(Thomas) Thomas L Porter came this evening & went home Friday evening Th 4th I went to Town Saw Mr Fuller & Mr Weakley Mat went on to Nashville Wain County Men 4 with Biffle stayed with several Mules. Bennet & Sullivan stayed
