1864 Feby Sat. 6 It has turned considerable colder the Wind is in the N. W. & Cloudy & looks like it will Snow. I have stayed at home A greate many roberies reported every directions
It appears the roberies are committed by attacting the house in the dead of the Night gitting the doore open & punishing the inmates by partially hanging & choking them until they tell where there moneys & Valuables are (I stayed at home)
