Fri 19 [in left margin: Lipscomb Harris] ( went to Town stayed at home the weather has moderated * Jesse Harris & George Lipscomb came home & stayed all night with me on there way to pulaskie* Sat 20 Col Misner & a portion of his command left on there way back home on payrole - Capt Nixon is also gone Majr Fitsgibbon is left in command & Capt Ernst provost - * marshal * Genl Dodge & command has been ordered South & Genl Stephenson in his place from Memphas. Sent to Pulaskie.

Su 21 Clear & warm pretty weather No news I stayed at home

Mon 22 Went to Town A greate many people Many taking the oath of Amnasty but few taking the Johnson oath. Nothing new

Tu 23) Went to Town Some feeling about pressing the Negro Tom Crosby wants them all freed as his is gone he wants all to go (Verry pretty Weather for several days)

Th 25 A. O. Williams Esqr. stayed with me last night & some one stole his buggy horse a bay with a bob tail He went back to Town & took the cars to Nashville From all I can learn the Williams Esq. horse was taken towards Pulaskie by three men about midnight (I went to Town)

Friday 26 I stayed at home all day W. J. Porter came at night
