Sat 5 Mar The day of Election for County & district officers Not much excitement The Voters many of them much displeased to have to take the Johnson oath. All went of peacibly. Some few drinking
Sunday 6 A beautiful Clear day Verry Spring like weather. No particular news
Mon 7 Went to Town Leonard went with me A heavy rain he stayed in Town There has been some fighting in which the Fedrels were worsted
Tu 8th I went to Town Nothing new The cars got smashed up South No trains for passengers to go to Nashville.
Wed 9. Order that no Negrous should be inpressed for the future See the press of to day Jack Smith & Sulivan came at night I was in Town
Th 10. Wilson Jack & Park went to Nashville & Jack came back
