Th 24th The ballence of Col Misers Command left Columbia together with Majr Fitsgibbins All left to day & Col Brown with the Tennessee regt have taken there places

Friday 25 I went to Town after dinner. It rained I got wet In the morning two soldiers came to the Shop and at Pusss house and presented there pistols Cooked at George. Made him give him his money, they then commenced to rob Anderson & Jack, and about that timem I got word of it and went to there releaf. Soldiers Charged upon them they give back & I ordered the blacks to take them. The soldiers took to there heels ran crossed the field fence runing South east until they got to the S.E. Corner of the field. There they crossed the fence into Warfields Woods. There Anderson & Jack overtook them with 2 double barrel shot guns. The fight ensued from behind trees. 7 guns were fired 4 pistols by the soldiers & 3 guns by the boys It terminated by the soldiers beging for quarters by giving up there money they had robed the boys of They went on to there command told they were attacked by the Gurillas & one of them got his wounds dressed & put on a Wagon & went on.
These troops Camped last night near & South of Twon on there way to the front They were the 53d Ohio Infantry. Col Jones & Majr Doss was the officers. It rained the most of the day

1864 March Sat 26 Cleared off & verry pretty day, rather we to plow in the Oats.
