Sun 27th pretty clear morning. Wind from the West No frost Nothing new from the over night The post at Columbia was verry considerably reinforced with more soldiers They are the Tennessee Cavalry Commanded by Col Brown of East Tennessee Came to day on the Cars. (Verry warm last night)

Mon 26. It is verry windy & blustering, Wind is from the South & blowing verry hard with flying clouds We are sowing Oats & planting Irish potatoes Mending my bugga that has been smashed up (fixing up my silver mounted gun) that has been suffered to rust verry much Commenced raining heavy Wind about the sun down set thunder & lightning heavy rain

Tu 29 The wind has shifted to the West and turned colder Clear but hesy in the morning Clouded up 9 A. M. looks like rain. Puss seems some better for the 2 last days The plaster on her breast seems to give releaf to her breast & stomach. I went to Town in the evening found Maranns 2 boys Mat & Sidney there I prevailed on them give them a pass sent them home Wrote Mary a letter by them they promised to go home Finished planting potatoes & Oats

Wed 20th It is verry cold pearcing wind from the N. W. 3 plows
