Fr 20 planting / Margaret
The boys finished planting the long field yesterday &
has commenced in the N. W. field Some of them are replanting
Corn I went to Town No particular news Some little scrimaging
in Virginia. Margaret is much netter this morning

Sat 21st Margaret / Porter
Margaret Porter went home this morning Pillow Cradick
went with her in my bugga drove old Nell Margaret came here
on the 2d day of Apr made several new shirts & done up my old
Cloathes &c &c She was of a greate service to William & me
What little time she was here she made the time pass off much
smoother during our troubles with the Yankes while she was here
She enjoyed her self while here verry well indeed. -- No
particular news since yesterday

Sun 22d Officers & Soldiers left / Margarit / Mule
The Brigade of Cavalry Commanded by Col Long &
Col Robee that has been in Campt at & near the fair grounds
all left this morning for the front every thing appears quiet
& no news No pickets put out near us to day Craddick came
back & report Margaret sick Old Nell Mule died Sunday night

Mon 23d planting
Every thing appears quiet verry warm We are finishing
planting the N. W. field to day. Mistake not finished planting
until Fri 26 May Nothing new I stayed at home.

Nothing new Many black are leaving Jack, Sandford,
Puss sick I stayed home Nothing new
