incouragement by keeping there company & assisting them in
there distresses while in imprisonment & that I am believed
to be a Secesh in principle John A. Campbell Charged the same
& give Wm H. Pillow his Author as making this statement about
me. This course of conduct was occasioned by a disagreement
between Pillow & me in argument upon abolishing the blacks
& Negro equality a little while back. It is verry warm &
sultry some appearance of rain I stayed at home.

Mon 6. Corn / Jordan
Warm sultry & cloudy in the morning I went to Town No
particular news Sold Jordan a load of Corn 4 lbs at $1.00 pr
bushel paid

Tu 7th Puss / Harratt
I went to Town after 4 oclock in the evening got home
before 6 The rain began to fall as I got home Verry heavy
rain Wm Matthews pulled a tooth for Puss, & little Harratt

Wed 8. Dream
Rained a verry heavy rain last night & another to day
Ground is verry wet & runing with Watter I went to Town in
the evening No news

I dreamed a dream last night & another the night before
I think unfavorable to the South Something verry remarkable
a going on. I saw father & Mother Grandmother & 2 little
boys in my sleep last night They met me in my room verry
