The morning is Cloudy It set in raining at 10 oclock
The ground is a flood of Watter & the Cricks are swiming
the river (D R) is very high There are nothing of any
Consque doing All (off) at work except Saul Jack & Monk.
Jack Patton & Anderson still getting Wood halling to Town.
Green George & Anthony still working on the Fortifications. No news

Sun 21 Shed / rained
I stayed at home all day The 5 Soldiers began to tear
down my shed in the lower lott William & me stopt them They
went off with there Wagons, half mad & we were not much
better No Important News

Mon 22 rained / Moore
I went to Town The meeting there nominated deligates to
the Convention at Nashville to meet on

I got a letter from Moore the rail rode Contractor
about our Cedars they have destroyed. See letter.

Tu 23 Moore / W J Porter / Self / Wm.
I went to Town & answered Moores letter No particular
news Came home early in the evening I see a letter from
Wm J Porter to A. M. Hughes he wholy refuses any steps taken
agt the people of Lawrence for the Gurillas burning his
Cotton I have not been verry well all day Nothing new of a
particular Character - William made Cider he is not well
