& the rode & bridges &c cut & burned Genl Buford crossed
over the Tennessee river with a large Wagon train of provisions
Nothing definit heard from Forrest & Reausaw since
they left

A greate many reports of Forrest & Rusaw nothing certain
I took the ballance of our Wool to Ashtons lbs it is to
be carded in 2 Weeks Jack & his Wife and A. O. Williams
stayed to night

I went to Town There was a verry grate many Citizens
in Town No Certanty from the Combattants that are South
Forrest Rousaw & others different reports contradictory
Maryann & Thomas were both in Town Some excitement about
the President Election Hughs Jno mayes Jno Beard & Ben
Frierson were verry insulting & I have been trying every
way to keep silent It is verry hard to do & receve there
insults
