I stayed at home No particular news They day is a little
cool in the evening We hear the Canons firing verry heavy
supposed to be at Florrence No news

Mon 31 / fight / Margaret / 11 Cedars
When I went to Town this morning It is understood the
fighting we heard yesterday was at Florrence We cant hear the
result I got Margaret a pair of shoes $4.50 No. 4. I tryed to
get my matters settled with Trust & Wilham but failed for my
filla Green was trying to get his matters, pay for his work
settled but failed (We pettioned the Col to stop cutting our
Cedars)

Novr Tus 1st / Stopt passing / No passing / lost Pistol / Corn
The morning is a little cloudy & cool I went to the
edge of Town & was stopt by the pickets. Orders that no man
be permitted to go through the Town or come out from Town
Expecting the rebels in to Town shortly They have drove in all
the Cattle Cows &c horses &c to Town Considerable excitement
with the Troops & Citizens all round I lost my little pistol
I think at Rankins gate
We started in to halling up our Corn The Oxe Wagon &
the 2 horse Wagon commenced yesterday in the long field
It commenced drisiling rain late in the evening No news
